I never win anything... ever.
But last fall there was a little photo contest at the Corn Maze we visited. We submitted an adorable picture of Rowan and amazingly we won! I'm so excited!
ps here is the original blog post showing how much fun we had that day!

I've been totally MIA lately, I know.
Truth of the matter is, its warm outside, and sunny with leaves and grass and all that other good stuff, so I've been playing.
Not with myself mind you, (cuz I wouldn't blog about that)
I've been playing with little Miss Rowan who hasn't been back to school since April Vacation.
She's been whom with moi.
We spend our days searching for bugs, building fairy houses and slathering on lots of sun block.
And so, it has happened, I'm a stay at home mom. :)
And man is it a busy and demanding job.... not rought with schedules or meeting makers, but instead chaos, popsickle breaks and lots and lots of "Watch this mama's"
We move in less than 2 weeks to Northern NH. I look foward to having a large yard, and a pool for the summer.... a new swing set (if my hubs can figure out how to put it together) and lots and lots of mountain fresh air.
In the mean time, I'm gonna keep on rocking my bad self along.

There is another SAHM here in the condo's that Rowan and I hang out with every day. She has a little boy named Grayson who is soo funny. Its the only boy Rowan actually likes.. and she squeals with glee when she sees him.
Sam (the mama)is preggers with baby number 2 and is due in 4 or 5 days. She is expecting a baby girl..
I thought I'd make her a nice little gift since she did not have a baby shower for this one (Grayson is only 2).
I love it! and I want to keep it, but I won't. :)

Rowan was given a lovely pop up style book about Fairies for Christmas. It goes into detail about the types of Fairy homes, where they live, what they eat etc etc.
She adores reading it and searching through the nicks and crannies of the different pages to find the hidden Fairies.
Today since we finally had some sunshine, we decided to build a fairy house of our own! I brought out a little basket and together we collected twigs, leaves, rocks, and flowers to build our little house.
Rowan found the perfect spot for the house nestled between the four spires of this beautiful tree in our front yard.

And this means I like to gab. Today we drove up to, and back from my parents house to work on the renovations for the day (moving in 29 days!!)
It's an hour and half drive each way... Rowan fell asleep on the way home and so I took the opportunity to gab with the hubs.
Except it ended up as me mentioning random thoughts, while he sat in silence..
Now I may not be talking about anything that exciting.. for example.. I was complaining about how the nose pads on my new glasses are sharp and when I smile, they poke me.
Perhaps I may not be enthralling and exciting to listen too... but occasionally an... "uh huh" or "that sucks" would be nice to hear.
Ya know, so that I know he's listening.
So I called him in on it.
"hey.. I know I'm just rambling but can you just pretend you care about what I am talking about?"
After all, everyday he comes home and tells me all about his day at work.... conduit.. blah blah blah.... outlet.. blah blah blah.... light fixture... blah blah blah.
I never know what the frick he's talking about, but gosh darn it, I give him a lot of "uh huh's" and "that sucks" and I expect that same fricken courtesy!
Is that to much to ask?
