Sorry I don't write much anymore. Life right now is in a very quiet place. We have our little routine of school in the morning, cleaning and playing in the afternoon, working out, making supper for Daddy when he gets home, and then spending the nights hanging out together before the very early bed time of 7pm. (Not me, I stay up and read).
Our afternoons playing are spent in Rowan's pink princess room. She could quite possibly be the most spoiled 3 1/2 year old ever alive...
Pink enough for you?

nuttin much.....
Not much going on here... the summer is dwindling but going out with a bang of insanely humid heat.
We're spending a lot of time in the pool, and indoors with the AC. I remember when it was rainy, all I wanted was sun, now its toooo hot. Grass is always greener I guess.
On the news front, Miss Rowan and I will be starting her home schooling in a few weeks. I can't wait for fall, for cool weather, apples, the smell of leaves and northern New England autumn colors. Between school and Rowan starting Ballet class, I think the boredom we've experienced this summer will end.
What else? oh we have adopted a new pet. Miss Margaret. She is a white dove that wondered on over to our yard and decided to hang out with our Guinea hens. She's a sweet little bird but when we found her, she was starved and thin. We've done a great job of fattening her up.
A call to a local bird sanctuary revealed that she is most likely a dove released at a wedding. They are domesticated past the point of being able to survive in the wild and usually fly off and die. Think of that the next time you think releasing doves at a wedding is a good idea.
So for now she sings happily and beautifully in a lovely cage we hang out on the front porch...
on a sad note, our poor little hamster passed away this week. I have no idea what was wrong with her, but thankfully it occurred without a major incidence or to much heart break with Miss Rowan. The tears subsided as soon as i mentioned we'd get another one haha... ahh the fickle heart of a child.
Lastly, my running is still going strong! I am on week 7 which entails running 25 mins at a time. Next week is 28 mins, and the following is 30, a 5k :)
I am registered for a local 5k for September 5th and I can't wait!

Anniversary Excursion
My friend Ryan's birthday is today. We went out last night to celebrate with her family. Her father paid for everyone to race go-karts at F1 in Boston... it was a long drive there but it was super fun!
There were only four of us that raced, I most definitly sat out to watch and of course take pics... someone had to record the rediculousness :)
Ryan, Sam (her sister),Rick (her dad) and Boo all suited up. Barney even brought his own helmet which I thought was cute.
For those that are new to my blog or don't know me in person, Barney has been racing stock cars since he was 16 years old. He only stopped because we decided to start a family. I'm sure someday he'll go back to it.
Anyhow, it was pretty flippin funny to watch a bunch of people race against a guy that has been racing real cars for over 10 years... haha needless to say, he spanked them... without mercy hahahaha
After the race we headed over to the Hill Tpp Steakhouse for dinner. :) At dinner we gave Ryan our gift to her.. it was a collectable rooster figurine.. she digs roosters I guess. Of course as I handed it to her, she dropped the gift bag with a big thump. She cringed and asked if it was breakable.. I held my breath...
Yeah his head broke off.. it was a clean break though so a little super glue aught to fix him. The running joke of the evening then became Ryan's broken cock. haha Yes we're that juvenile, you wish you were as cool as us hahaha.
Then it was time to head home, where Grammy was snuggled up on our couch with a sleeping Rowan. :)
Here are some pics from the night, as well as a few funny vids :)
Racing
