Here's hoping

Just when I think we've reached the end of Rowan's toddler milestones, we always find another. Today we woke Rowan up and decided that there would no longer be a nuk, paci, booboo, whatever you want to call it.

She was pissed to say the least... spent half the morning begging for one... and then finally gave up.

I just put her to bed without it. A huge thing for us since night time is when she craves it the most.

Its a bit like watching someone come down off a crack addiction.. I think she might have the shakes.

Well here's hoping the suffering doesn't last to long... for her..... and for us.

That's a tough one. We took them away when each girl turned 3. I kept telling them it was coming and wouldn't let them have it quite often during the daytime. It was a weaning process. Finally when they turned 3 it was all over. I don't think either one of them complained, so it must not have been a big deal.

awww poor kid - we'll be doing that soon. i really wanted to have lorelei off it by 2 - but with the babies around it's almost impossible. i think i'm going to let them all have it until the babies turn 2 (lorelei won't even be 3 1/2 so not that bad for her) and take them all away at the same time. Now THAT will be a week I wished I was working! :)
