2009 - Time slipping through my fingers

Time is a precious thing. After all, that's all we really have right?

I can't believe it's 2009. I honestly don't know where all the time has gone. I was talking to Boo last night about how it felt like it was just last week I was celebrating 2000 at a friend's house while planning my first wedding! I have consequently gotten divorced, remarried, graduated college, changed careers, had a child and bought a home.... whoa.... that was a fast week.

But seriously, it really does feel like it was last week.... And now I'm 30.. my baby girl is almost 3 and time keeps flying by. All those old people were right when they told me that as a kid, but I didn't believe them... or maybe I didn't' want to believe them.

Last night was fun although uneventful. New Year's Eve isn't as much fun when you can't go out. I suppose I could have gotten a sitter and still partook in the festivities, but nothing changes the fact that Rowan wakes up at 6am on the dot pretty much everyday, so nothing would have saved me from that this morning. Its not worth the exhaustion hahaha

So instead my hubs and I snuggled up on the couch, watched a marathon of season 5 of Project Runway (he wasn't pleased about that) and we drank a bottle of wine together. Well he drank about 1/3 of it, and I drank the other 2/3's. I was pretty shitty by the time we wobbled up to bed... and it was quite comical.

We laughed about a hundred times because of a commercial for The Real Housewives Of Orange County. There was a line in the commercial that said "Laurie comes back for some post OC dish". But I swear to you, the commentator says it so fast that it sounds like "Laurie comes back for some post OC DICK" and we cracked up every time. lol

Ok so maybe you had to be there, and you had to be drunk.

We didn't' stay up long enough see the ball drop... I think I woke up around 2 am to pee with cotton mouth, and that was fairly grand hahahaha This morning I'm feeling ok, despite the fact that I haven't been drunk like that in years... so Thank you God for that one. Especially since I woke up to a toddler jumping on me and yelling "Wake up mama!!! Time to wake up!!!" hahahaha

So lets see, New Year's resolutions. I would like to be more green. I've started recycling this year... that's about as green as I've ever been. But I'd like to save this planet for my kids.... so that's it.

I told Barney I was also going to resolve to gain more weight this year, figuring if I failed at that one, I wouldn't' have to feel to bad hahahahaha

Anyhoodle, Happy New Years everyone! I hope you had a fun and safe night, and here's praying for many more to come!
