Scarfs

I got the patterns for these scarfs here http://laughingpurplegoldfish.blogspot.com/2008/10/scrappy-scarves.html

I love them and the stitch is so large they take me no time at all. I started yesterday and have made 3 scarfs so far.

The blue one is for me. The black/white version is a gift for my sister. And the slightly ugly pink/green/purple one is Rowan's (she picked out her own colors lol)

Oh and of course the last pic is Rowan... she wanted to be involved in mummy's photo shoot.

Cute scarves - absolutely adorable daughter!

A few years ago I was addicted to a hole in one scarf...it had it's own little tunnel to secure the scarf....still love it and it was on of the easiest patterns I've ever done! Gotta love that!

I use two skeins of Berocco Chinchilla but other yarn could be used. With a scarf, gauge isn't very important you could add or subract the number of sts to change the width.

Scarf
size 7 needles

Gauge 16 sts =1" in k1.p1 rib

Cast on 30sts *k1,p1; repeat last row for rib and work until piece measures 24".
Slip all the knit sts to one dpn, and all the purl sts to second dpn (15 sts each). Work 15 sts from first dpn in st.st for 2 1/2". Repeat for second 15 sts. Rejoin sts, *Knitting 1 st from first dpn, an purling 1 st from second dpn; repeat from *across. continue in k1,p1 rib for 5 1/2" . Bind off in rib.

It's a gorgeous scarf....I will try to post a picture of it for you on my blog....I just need to find it!
